What we do
Morgan Hill Kiwanis actively participates in various community focused activities. Here are some prominent initiatives:
Scholarships & Financial Aid
The Kiwanis Turn Around Scholarship Program is our signature scholarship program. It provides personal recognition and scholarships to graduating at-risk high schools seniors toward their continuing educations, which may be college, university, or trade schools. Our scholarships are unique, they do not just help for one year but continue as long as the student remains in good standing. In addition, our scholarship team reaches out to our recipients offering encouragement and advice. Currently the Turn Around Scholarship program supports 26 students.
Besides the Turn Around Scholarship program, Morgan Hill Kiwanis provides the youth of our community financial aid with various programs including:
- City of Morgan Hill summer Recreation Program
- Boys & Girls Club After School and Summer Program
- Scout Troop 799 & 2799

Financial Support
Morgan Hill Kiwanis actively funds various youth organizations, some of these include:- Boys & Girls Club
- Morgan Hill Summer Rec programs
- Two Scout Troops
- Middle School Robotics Club (financially & with advisors)
- Sobrato Key Club (financially & with chaperones)
Together with Morgan Hill Rotary we honor our community's graduates by hanging banners with our graduates photos, and while we're at it, raising American Flags in preparation for the Fourth of July.
Other youth focused activities where MH Kiwanis are heavily involved include:
- Rock the Moch (students have an opportunity to attend skill building sessions and do mock interviews)
- Key club advisors and chaperones
- Kiwanis Special Games
Support Our Community
Our signature Holiday Event is the Morgan Hill Holiday Parade.
The first Saturday in December, it's all hands on deck to bring 60+ entries to help Santa light the City's Holiday Tree.
Community Support is not limited to the Holiday Parade, other community events that we either drive or our heavily involved in include:
- Parisi House on the Hill Santa Visit
- Senior Breakfast
- Special Games
- Edward Boss Prado Foundation
- Mariachi Festival
- 4th of July City Flags
- Holiday Decorations in Downtown Morgan Hill
Raise Money
Fundraising activities are essential for supporting the work we do. We strive to align our fundraising activities with our mission, ensuring that we not only raise funds but strengthen our community bond showing the power of collective support in making a positive change.
One of the key fund raising events is our Friday Night Music Series. For 10 weeks in the summer we run the food booth for Morgan Hill's Friday Night Music Series. We sell Hot Dogs, Pulled Pork, Quesadillas and whatever else our chef's can dream up. It's a great chance to help the community, meet our neighbors, and have fun. We even get the mayor to help.
Besides the Friday Night Music Series some other fund raising and team activities include:
- Chioppino Feed and raffle
- Freedom Fest Parking and Refreshment Booths
- Registrar of Voters Election support
